How the GT Cuties Use Their iPads to Work Collaboratively
GOOGLE DRIVE
All of the students in Eanes have a Google account that they use for email. This same account allows them access to the Google Drive, a file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. Google Drive allows users to store files on their servers, synchronize files across devices, and share files. In addition to a website, Google Drive offers an office suite that permits collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, forms, and more. Files created and edited through the office suite are saved in Google Drive.
Students can work on a shared document, spreadsheet, presentation, etc while using their own iPad. They can see the actions that others are taking in real time. It is an extremely easy and efficient way to work together digitally.
AIRDROP
AirDrop is an ad-hoc service in Apple Inc.'s macOS and iOS operating systems, which enables the transfer of files among supported Macintosh computers and iOS devices over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, without using mail or a mass storage device. Students frequently use AirDrop during GT to share pictures, videos, presentations, etc.
KEYNOTE
Keynote is a presentation software app that the GT cuties love to use! Recently, this app added a feature where multiple users can collaborate simultaneously from their own devices. Keynote is an amazing way to share information, and it allows for the use of creativity each step of the way!
Using iPads has greatly enhanced the learning and collaboration we do here in room 211! The GT cuties love their iPads and I love the way the iPads spark their brains!
