The Kindergartners are enjoying learning how to play checkers. They are an extremely bright group who comfortably shares their strategies and thinking while playing. This game requires them to think critically and take risks. I am sure they would love to sharpen their skills at home!
We made the most out of a short week and got lots of work done! The students in grades 1-5 made an important decision this week. They decided to pause the Cardboard Arcade project before building their games and resume the project after Science Day. Our room will be used that day, and they will need all of the space for the Science Day activity. Therefore, the kids had to choose if they wanted to finish the project before Science Day or put it on pause until after. This week they are worked on making a very detailed plan for their game. This plan includes measurements, materials, labeled parts, and views of each side of the game. I couldn't be more proud or impressed by their energy and effort on this project! What an amazing bunch of little geniuses!
